My Thoughts On S02E05 - "Never Let Me Go"

So, what did everyone think about the episode tonight? It definitely confirmed a few things that I was suspecting. If you have not seen Episode 5 yet and don't like spoilers, I advise you don't continue reading until you do.

I must confess that I am a new True Blood fan. I saw a few episodes from Season 1 and the show didn't make a good first impression on me and I was a little disappointed because I am a big fan of Alan Ball - Six Feet Under was my favorite show ever. I got hooked on the show after seeing the Season 2 opener. I'm not much of a reader, never was, so I haven't read the Sookie Stackhouse novels either and I'm not going to because True Blood is more of an adaption to the books. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that I have no clue what's coming up in the story line, I just go with the flow and see what I can figure out on my own. I'm sure lots of you out there are in the same boat.

I have to say that I am liking the Sarah and Jason developments. I had a feeling that something was eventually going to happen because the chemistry between them couldn't have been more evident. I wonder if Jason will refuse her or slip back into his old habits? It seems that Sarah tricked Jason into receiving his 'reward', I don't know, something's going on there. I don't know how Sarah is going to justify this. Adultery is a sin.

Tonight we found out that Daphne is also a shape shifter like Sam. I had a few suspicions about her and I'm still very suspicious of her. I want to know the story behind the scratches on her back and why Sam didn't notice and didn't ask her about them. I'm thinking she was wondering about in the woods while she was a deer and Maryann (as the bull) attacked her. Right now this scenario makes most sense to me.

We also found out that Godric is Eric's maker and that Eric was a Viking and this is why Eric has been so adamant on finding and rescuing him. It was interesting to finally see a bit of Eric's past. I must say, his accent was very sexy, haha!

And then finally, there's something I have to admit. After watching and re-watching True Blood episodes so many times, I found myself getting more and more annoyed by Sookie's character. She's so very stubborn and never seems to want to listen to Bill and/or always yelling at him. If I were in her situation, I wouldn't be so big headed. Bill is how old and how much wiser than me? I would put more weight on his advice. And, is it just me or does it seem like all Bill and Sookie do is have sex? Sookie is a horny little Fangerbanger lol

P.S. Did anyone else find it creepy when Maryann was wearing Gran's clothes?

Check back tomorrow for captures from tonight's episode.
